Building Resilience

“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” – Albert Camus

Life isn’t always easy. We have all experienced some type of difficulty or challenge in our lives.

Resilience is our ability to navigate, recover and bounce back after experiencing difficulties. Not only can we manage these challenges, but in time, we can learn from them and become stronger than before. Resilience is not a fixed-state. It is a skill set that can be developed over time with practice.

Explore the information on this site to learn how you can become more resilient.

For in-person support for coping with life’s challenges, we encourage students to visit the Adelphi Student Counseling Center.
